We all have a defect that makes us think a little more before doing something important. So also was Moses. He had a speech impediment, but was chosen by God to free the Israelites from slavery.
God said: "Certainly I will be with thee..." [Exodus 3:12]. And even then Moses insisted trying to convince God that he was the wrong person. Again, God showed that He would be with Moses, and he was still insecure. And the result was that "the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses..." [Exodus 4:14]. Then he woke up.
It's necessary that God be angry with you, to you understand that He has called you and is with you? But God has spoken once and that's enough, right? God knew of the defect and instead of choosing Aaron - who was very eloquent - chose Moses!
God knows your weaknesses. Even then called you. And you still refuse to go?! God expects more of us, He wants us to treat ourselves that way too.
As painful as it is to fight against something that is in you, which is in its character, FIGHT! Don't expect that Lord be angry with you. Beyond leaving the comfort zone, destroy it, so you do not want to go back there one day.
